Bojan seals minimum fee release clause

Mercurial Stoke City talent Bojan Krkic has today sealed a minimum fee release clause with the Midlands club, after signing a new four year deal.

Bojan joined the Potters from Barcelona in 2014, following a string of underwhelming loan moves and beneath a cloud of failed expectation.

With early parallels drawn to Lionel Messi, the pair of them being quite small and having both graduated from La Masia, Bojan was branded a flop after struggling to reach the level set by one of the greatest footballers of all time.

He has since gone on to reinvigorate his career, becoming an essential part of Stoke City’s growing project, taking to Premier League football like a duck to hoisin sauce.

Bojan said: “I am very happy and motivated. Stoke City gave me the opportunity to play in the most competitive league in the world, and I have only words of gratitude for their trust and for the way they have allowed me the chance to show everyone that FM wasn’t wrong about me.

Mark Hughes convinced me to come to Stoke, he has helped me and showed his trust in me from the beginning. I owe them the reassurance that when I do demand to leave the club after the inevitable interest from Liverpool comes in, that they’ll receive a fee that we both agree is fair.”
