Rodgers sheds light on Carroll comments

Newly appointed Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers this week made headlines after suggesting that 35million pound man Andy Carroll, may not figure in his plans for the coming season.

Already linked with a host of clubs, Carroll is thought to be reluctant to give up on his career at Anfield after only 18 months, but could be left with little choice after Rodgers’s comments in recent days.

Despite his initial reluctance to speak definitively on the subject, Rodgers was much more up front this evening when quizzed by the press.

“Look, Andy came here with a big price tag hanging over him, anyone is going to feel that pressure. It can definitely interfere with your head. But we saw, as he settled in to the club, that he was nothing more than a lumbering, average bastard. I mean seriously, thirty five million? Also, what’s with that pony tail? Disgusting greasy thing. Actually you know what? I hate him and I hate his face.”
