Nottingham Forest seek to appoint ‘big name’ signing in their return to glory
Nottingham Forest’s new owners, The Al-Hasawi family, are said to be highly ambitious about returning the club to its glory days after last week’s acquisition of the two times European champions.
In a statement they said: “We have heard the legends of Nottingham Forest, they are known across the world. Films have even been made in their honour, not to mention the tales spanning hundreds of years. We want to turn the forest into a place of legend once more.”
The Kuwaiti group are said to be looking to make a big name signing to bolster their squad, and Really Like Football understands that they have entered into talks with Italian striker Mario Balotelli, who currently plays for Premier League champions, Manchester City.
A spokesperson for the group has said “We have been looking to appoint a leading man to spearhead our campaign, a captain to unite the men and make them merry once more. Having heard about Mario’s history of good deeds; giving out money to the poor and putting bullies to rights, we feel he is the perfect man for the job. Exactly the kind of generous, spirited leader we envisioned.”
Balotelli is thought to be very interested in the role, and talks are well under way between the two clubs.
